All our beautiful items are created by our skilled team of makers and engravers, though human error can happen from time to time. Contact our customer team (info@milacantes.com) with an image of the error and they will have this resolved for you.
As these items have been bespoke made to your preferences, we do hope you understand that we are unable to accept any returns of personalised items unless they are faulty. To read a little bit more about this, please see our Returns Policy
Please email us right away! We may be able to correct the address if you notice a mistake right after the order (up to 60 min). But for product variants, colours or engravings, we are in most cases not able to change it after the order is placed – this is so that we can begin creating your bespoke item as soon as possible. All personalisation choices are final, so please make sure you check your order thoroughly before placing it as we are also unable to refund/return based on selecting incorrect personalisation.
Yes, we can engrave in any language, so you can enter text in any language into personalization fields
Yes. We capture all ages, from newborns through to adult sized fingerprints. Our process is suited for most ages, however it is necessary that the fingerprint has visible lines on it.
Newborn fingerprints develop in the womb from 22 weeks, so they will be present on a newborn child. Whilst we have produced keepsakes from as young as a few days old, please note newborn fingerprints can be shallow and fine, so having a close-up check to see if the lines are visible will be able to determine if a print can be captured.
For newborn and children fingerprints, we endeavor to keep these as true to size as possible for the final piece of jewellery. However, if you wish to provide measurements upon the return of your digital prints, please add these into the notes section when you upload them.
For adult prints (which may be larger than our pendants), we use our engraving technology to scale these down, whilst keeping the ratio and fingerprint detail in perfect condition for the final engraving.

We accept any existing fingerprint, paw print, hand print or footprint. You do not need to use our Deja Marc fingerprint kit. We simply provide our fingerprint kits as most people don’t have a print on file already.

If you wish for the team to qualify the quality of your print before you place an order, simply send this through to prints@dejamarc.co.uk and the team will be able to review this for you.

DO:
– Read through the kit instructions carefully and watch the process video for additional information before you start.
– Make sure you have clean hands and a hard flat surface to capture the prints.
– Use light taps to transfer the ink onto the paper (less is more)
– If you are capturing a baby or child’s fingerprint, we recommend doing this when they are relaxed or sleepy so their little hands are relaxed.
– Make multiple attempts so that we have lots of options to choose from!
– Take clear close up images of your prints (once completed)
AVOID:
– If you are seeing a dark blob you are pressing too hard. Attempt a tap instead of a hard press.
– Do not roll your finger. Just simply tap it down on the print paper.
It’s important to know that we do tidy up your fingerprints so they don’t need to be perfect. If there is a smudge or a line is broken, don’t worry, we will clean this up for you whilst ensuring the design remains aesthetically identical to your prints.
You can purchase your own ink pad or strips from most craft shops. Then follow the same instructions here to capture your fingerprint.
There is also a pencil lead and selotape method you can attempt if you do not have access to ink linked here.

Upload your fingerprints via our QR code or email them to prints@dejamarc.co.uk along with your order number.
We keep all customers prints on file, unless otherwise asked. We have a lot of customers wishing to use their stored prints for new repeat orders. Simply select NO to needing a fingerprint kit and the option to enter your old order number appears. The team will apply these filed fingerprints to your new order and commence production as soon as possible.
Handwriting comes in different sizes and styles, so it is hard to create a fixed word limit.
Our pendants are 16mm by 16mm, so we will make design and placement adjustments in order to ensure the text is legible.
We recommend a maximum of around 4 words, however if your handwriting exceeds this, we will reach out to you to find a solution that suits you.
Yes! We can engrave handwriting you already have such as written words in a card, letter from a loved one, signature and many more.
Just upload a clear image of the handwriting via the upload function of the product page.
The handwriting you supply will be replicated exactly onto our jewellery.
We may have to stack the words appropriately where required to ensure the writing is not too small on the pendant.
If you’re trying to capture a paw print, we understand it can sometimes be a little daunting.
Our key tips are to groom your pet, use treats and pick the right time of day.
